Ariana Grande, a singer and actress who can count numerous wins and nominations to her name, is now an Oscar nominee for her role in Wicked, a nomination that Grande calls the “absolute honor” of her life.

Today every Ariana Grande fan will yell "Ariana, what are you doing here?" because she has just achieved what every musical artist dreams of, an Oscar nomination in the acting category. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for playing Glinda the Good in Wicked.

In the unlikely event that you missed it, Ari received a first-time Oscar nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for her showstopping performance as Glinda in Jon M. Chu’s Wicked adaptation, which came out in November.
