Awdah Hathaleen, who collaborated with the Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers behind the Oscar-winning documentary, was shot and killed in an alleged attack.

A Palestinian activist who helped film the No Other Land documentary highlighting Israel’s violent occupation of the West Bank, Awdah Hathaleen, was shot and killed by an Israeli settler on Monday, according to one of the film’s directors.

Awdah Hathaleen, a Palestinian teacher and activist who contributed to the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, was shot and killed in Umm al-Khair in the South Hebron on Monday. An Israeli settler was arrested in connection, identified by Israeli police as Yinon Levi.
