The Dallas Mavericks could be at risk of losing another member of Jason Kidd’s coaching staff. Kidd made an appearance Monday on the DLLS Mavs podcast to discuss the team’s draft lottery win, offseason priorities and how the franchise will move forward after a tumultuous season full of injuries and a reconstruction of the roster.

It’s no surprise that Jason Kidd named John Stockton as the greatest passer of all time. After being selected by the Utah Jazz with the 16th overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft—the same class that featured Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Hakeem Olajuwon —the point guard gradually earned his spot until solidifying his role in the 1987–88 season.

The Mavericks landed the first-overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft on May 12 at the lottery in Chicago, helping to heal a fanbase that has been in revolt since the ill-fated Luka Doncic trade just three months prior.
