A 21-year-old son of an NFL assistant coach has taken responsibility for prank-calling former University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders during the NFL Draft late last week.

Travis Hunter was the headliner at No. 2 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars, while LaJohntay Wester (No. 203 overall to the Baltimore Ravens) and Jimmy Horn Jr. (No. 208 overall to the Carolina Panthers) went in the sixth round.

As Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders fell out of the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday, he became the biggest story of the weekend. The further Sanders fell, the more the anticipation grew to see when he would finally hear his name called.
