While some wanted to see Minnesota sign Rodgers, the team opted to go in a different direction. Instead of bringing in the 41-year-old signal caller, the Vikings decided to roll with second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy and hand the keys to the franchise over to the former Michigan standout.

Aaron Rodgers has officially signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he wasn't the first option — or second — according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The four-time NFL MVP and former Super Bowl champion is on a one-year deal after ending his free agency.

TJ Watt, who is entering the final year of a four-year $112 million contract, has been absent from Steelers OTAs as he campaigns for a new deal.
