The 2025 holiday will run for two full weeks, beginning at midnight on Friday, August 1, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.

Changes to Florida sales tax holidays give parents some extra time to save on back-to-school supplies this year, however. Rather than two weeks of tax exemptions, Florida has made back-to-school supplies and some related items tax-free through the entire month of August.

Shopping for school supplies for Floridians will be a bit easier, as the state’s annual back-to-school sales tax holiday begins on Aug. 1.
