Bane, who grew up in eastern Indiana and went to college in Fort Worth, Texas, acknowledged that Memphis has “rough parts,” but said that is no different than any other city.

Bane was Memphis’ most productive 3-point shooter this season and the Grizzlies’ third-leading scorer behind Ja Morant (23.2 points in 50 games) and Jaren Jackson Jr. (22.2 points in 74 games).

Desmond Bane believes he couldn’t be in a better situation than being with the Magic. Bane averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game after five seasons with the Grizzlies.

Bane averaged 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.2 steals in 69 regular season games. He will be a key addition to a Magic team that had the third-lowest points per game in the league.
