The Twins have signed shortstop Marek Houston, reports Jim Callis of MLB.com. Houston was just selected with the 16th overall pick in last week’s draft. His $4,497,500 signing bonus is below the $4,929,600 slot value for that pick.
Misiewicz was removed from the Twins’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers due to the injury. He had only been able to appear in four games since having his contract selected on July 9, in which Misiewicz allowed five runs on four hits in 4.1 innings with three walks and five strikeouts.
