The U.S. stock market remained the envy of the world in 2024, extending its outperformance against international peers and claiming an even bigger slice of the multitrillion-dollar global equity market.

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) is up +1.14%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) is up +0.50%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is up +1.64%. March E-mini S&P futures (ESH25) are up +1.

The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF, which holds Nvidia, Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp, Google parent Alphabet Inc., Amazon.com Inc., Tesla Inc. and Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc, was up 2.3%, according to FactSet data, at last check. That exceeded the S&P 500’s 1.3% rise.
