FORT KNOX, Ky. — President Donald Trump remains concerned about the gold at Fort Knox, which is about 35 miles south of Louisville, Kentucky. “We’re actually going to Fort Knox to see if the gold is there because maybe somebody stole the gold, tons of gold,” Trump told reporters Monday after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"I can tell the American...all the gold is there,” Treasury chief Scott Bessent said, pushing back at Trump and Musk's skepticism.
