ATLANTA — With a Winter Storm Watch issued for much of north Georgia and a Weather Impact Alert in effect, 11Alive is actively monitoring school closures and delays. Arctic cold air and a Gulf Low will bring the potential for snow, sleet, and freezing rain at the end of the week.

The FOX 5 Storm Team has declared Friday and Saturday Storm Alert Days due to the threat of winter weather in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
