Maybe I’m a sucker for a great story, or perhaps it’s the fact that Grant Holmes looks like a carbon copy of Kenny Powers, but I’m probably higher on him than anybody entering the 2025 campaign.

Manager Brian Snitker said Tuesday that Holmes will move to the bullpen to fill a multi-inning role, Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game Atlanta reports.

Right-hander Grant Holmes made his big league debut on Sunday after 10 years in the minors, working three scoreless innings in Atlanta's 8-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Holmes (0-0, 2.54 ERA) will face Miami's Kyle Tyler (0-2, 4.74) in a matchup of right-handers. Holmes was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014.

The Braves selected Grant Holmes, a right-handed pitcher who will most likely slot into the bullpen, to the MLB roster.
