Just days after historic flooding battered parts of Washington state, a breach opened in the Desimone Levee on the Green River in King County on Monday afternoon. Over 1,000 people were ordered to evacuate.
Early Tuesday morning, multiple homes were evacuated in Pacific after a breach of the levee, just hours after another incident on the Green River near Tukwila.
More rain, snow, high winds and mudslides are in the forecast in Washington state, after a barrage of storms dumped close to 2 feet of rain in parts of the Cascade Mountains, swelling rivers far beyond their banks and prompting more than 600 rescues.
