MORGANTOWN, W. Va. − During the final media timeout of Saturday’s men's basketball contest between Iowa State and West Virginia, Cyclones coach T.J. Otzelberger outlined his plan for his players. Otzelberger preached to them the importance of getting stops, finishing plays on the glass and generating turnovers.

Iowa State has lost its last eight games at West Virginia and is 2-9 there all-time. The Cyclones have outscored Big 12 foes by an average of 14 points per game. WVU is coached by Darian DeVries, who left Drake in March. He was 150-55 over six seasons at Drake, and led the Bulldogs to three NCAA tournament appearances.

The No. 2 Iowa State Cyclones (15-1, 5-0 Big 12) and the No. 25 West Virginia Mountaineers (12-4, 3-2) meet Saturday at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let'
