The Knicks were blown out 118-105 on Sunday by the Celtics and, despite still sporting a 37-20 record, are now 0-7 against Boston, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Oklahoma City Thunder this season—the top three teams in the NBA. To add insult to injury, New York's Josh Hart was assessed a $2,000 postgame flopping fine by the NBA on Monday.

After missing two games following the NBA All-Star break, Josh Hart returned to action Sunday night against the Boston Celtics. The Knicks forward made an impact, nearly notching a triple-double with 20 points,

The Celtics can comfortably put Holiday on Towns, allowing Porziņģis to guard whichever non-shooter the Knicks have on the floor, because he’s strong and an incredible post defender for his size. This makes New York’s top-notch offense stagnant. Only so many teams have guards/wings able to disrupt Towns (Oklahoma City is one of them).

There’s no other way to put it. The New York Knicks are overmatched against the best teams in the league. This is a particularly concerning statement since they are a third seed themselves, armed with two All-Star starters.
