Transfer portal season has started. The portal doesn't open up until Dec. 9, but with the end of the regular season Saturday, players have begun making their decisions to enter the portal.

The Oklahoma Sooners have been looking for some veterans to add to their young tight end room in the transfer portal. On Wednesday evening, the Sooners earned a commitment from Louisiana Tech transfer tight end John Locke.

Carter was a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 11 linebacker in the cycle. Out of Tampa Catholic, Carter’s speed and athleticism made him one of the more highly regarded backers in 2023. He had 33 Power Four offers coming out of high school.

A former Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Daniels totaled 240 tackles, 7.5 Sacks, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Cowboys.
