A prominent Palestinian activist who had worked on an Oscar-winning documentary was killed on Monday during an attack by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, according to local journalists and officials.

Awdah Hathaleen, whose work was featured in the Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land,” was shot dead. The suspect had been subject to U.S. sanctions, but President Trump lifted them.
