Former Michigan coach Sherrone Moore has been charged with home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering for an alleged incident that occurred after he was fired earlier this week.

Michigan Wolverines fired head coach Sherrone Moore on Dec. 10 after an internal investigation found 'credible evidence' of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Police detained Moore the next day in connection with an alleged assault,

Moore, appearing virtually from the Washtenaw County Jail, was arraigned Friday on a felony charge of third-degree home invasion, as well as two misdemeanor charges of stalking and entering without permission.

Moore was promoted from offensive coordinator to head coach after Jim Harbaugh departed Michigan to coach the Los Angeles Chargers on the heels of the Wolverines winning the national championship. In two seasons at the helm, Moore led the Wolverines to a 16-8 record.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Sherrone Moore, who was abruptly fired this week as the University of Michigan football coach, was charged Friday with three crimes including home invasion and stalking a person he had dated, prosecutors said. Moore has spent two nights in jail following his firing and subsequent arrest Wednesday.
