The only way they can legally and without breaking Twitch ToS is a Watch Party but even then, the streamer isn't actually streaming the show/movie. They are just streaming their webcam and an Amazon Prime video is playing.

It is completely against the ToS to stream a movie. With that said, something I do with my viewers occasionally is hold a movie night on rabb.it - completely free site, and you can log into your Netflix/Hulu/whatever you want and watch movies that way. They can activate cams/mics and just hang out while watching a movie with your people.

I was looking into streaming things from the Pokémon tv app, so I wondering if this is allowed even with VODs disabled. Anyone is able to watch whatever is available from Pokémon tv without having an account, so will it be an issue to show anything from there on twitch?

Jan 8, 2022 · hold up this is way wrong. Twitch can ban anyone or remove content, at any time, for any reason. They are a private company. Safe harbor laws protect them when they haven't, not the viewers or creators. Twitch's DMCA system is not an offical system and is prone to abuse just like youtubes, A real DMCA notices is filed in a court not with twitch.

I wouldn't say it's the most best thing ever to avoid any punishment. It's really falls on you the streamer to figure out if an issue will occur from it, like for example lets say you find a 2 minute video on youtube and just watch the full thing with out actually giving commentary on it, then that could be seen as content steal, where as you find a 10 minute video, watch a few minutes of it ...
