‘You’re so resilient’ used to be a compliment; especially for a traumatised, hyper independent girl like me. But the older I get the more that statement makes me angry. I don’t want to have to be resilient. I want to be soft, I want to be protected, I want to be taken care of, I want to be seen, I want to be helped. We shouldn’t have had to be resilient. But if your circumstances meant that your only other option was giving up. Then I’m proud of you for being resilient too 🫶🏼 #bpd #borderlinep
