Incredible day with “The Friendly Pod” the CA51s! We had a Channel Islands Killer Whale Quest scheduled today, but the waters were forecast to be too rough. So instead we decided to operate a Humpback trip closer to the harbor. Just 5 miles out, and before any Humpbacks were sighted, we saw spouts and tall black dorsals! The family had just finished eating something and was in a super friendly mood. The CA51s are known to be very welcoming and curious of boats, especially after enjoying a meal!
