Julian Assange has lost his extradition appeal against the US in London’s High Court. The WikiLeaks founder faces 175 years in prison if he is found guilty on 17 espionage charges and one charge of computer misuse. Assange’s team cited mental health reasons to keep him in the UK, however Judge Timothy Holroyde said he was satisfied with the assurances the US had given, which included the ability for him to be transferred to Australia to serve any prison sentence.
