Muppet History on Instagram: "In the 1970 Muppet Christmas special The Great Santa Claus Switch, one of the new Muppets introduced was Snarl the Cigar Box Frackle (not to be confused with Fraggles) played by Danny Seagren Although the character only appeared briefly, the puppet would be reused for several variety show appearances throughout the early 70’s until in 1976 when he would be slightly rebuilt for The Muppet Show and was reintroduced to the world as The Great Gonzo, now played by Dave G
