The upper limb relies on a coupling mechanism between the shoulder and forearm, which plays a key role in compensatory injury patterns. With the hand fixed against a wall, shoulder rotation cannot fully express itself. Instead, the forearm rotates in the opposite direction to maintain hand position. External shoulder rotation pairs with forearm pronation, while internal rotation pairs with supination. When this coupling is disrupted or overloaded, compensatory stress emerges—often preceding inju
